Michael Liu, M.D., A Long-Time Local Resident, Joins the Medical Staff of Placentia-Linda Hospital    

November 30, 2007 – PLACENTIA, CA. – Placentia-Linda Hospital welcomes internal medicine physician, Michael Liu, M.D., to its medical staff.            

Dr. Liu graduated cum laude and UC Regents Scholar with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine in 1999.  He obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree at UCI College of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA.             

Dr. Liu is returning to practice medicine in the community he grew up in.  As an interesting fact, Dr. Liu is a local – he graduated from Esperanza High School in 1995 and has been a long-time resident of Yorba Linda, CA.   

Dr. Liu already has several honors under his belt including the UCI College of Medicine Distinction in Research Award; UCI College of Medicine Clinical Teaching Commendation; and several authored and published medical papers and leadership positions, including a Clinical Teaching Commendation from UCI Department of Family Medicine, 2004.  

“I’m excited about the opportunity to be a part of the medical staff at Placentia-Linda Hospital. I look forward to building my practice and giving back to the community in which I live,” states Liu.
