Placentia, CA, January 17, 2012 -- Placentia-Linda Hospital is pleased to announce that Bryan Hoynak, M.D., Emergency Room Physician and board certified Trauma Physician, has been named by the Orange County Medical Association (OCMA) in partnership with Orange Coast Magazine, as an Orange County Physician of Excellence (POE). Physicians selected exemplify outstanding leadership qualities, teaching and mentoring, research and humanitarian services.
This award designation was announced in the January, 2012 issue of Orange Coast Magazine’s “Physicians of Excellence in Orange County” issue. Dr. Hoynak, a board certified emergency room and board certified trauma surgeon and volunteer sheriff for the O.C. Sheriff’s Department, was selected for the Physicians of Excellence program to recognize Orange County’s most noteworthy physicians.
The OCMA Board recognized the fact that all physicians meet a standard of excellence simply by the fact that they have completed the training and education necessary to become medical doctors. However, there are some who go above and beyond in serving their profession and patients, and as a result, the OCMA Board believed that by creating the POE program it would be able to recognize and honor those physicians.
The measurable selection criteria used by the OCMA and Orange Coast Magazine Physician Excellence Committee were established to identify those physicians that operate at a very high standard. The selection committee consists of medical staff leaders, specialty society representatives, community leaders, including OCMA members and non-members as well as physicians and non-physicians.
This is the eighth year that OCMA has partnered with Orange Coast Magazine to recognize outstanding physicians in the community. OCMA and the Orange Coast Magazine honor the Physicians of Excellence for their services to their profession, lifelong dedication to their patients and commitment to the community they serve by hosting an honoree luncheon each January
