The ABWA rolled out the red carpet to recognize the “Stars of the Community,”  the theme of the event, with an awards program to honor and acknowledge those business professionals who make a difference each and every day and their contributions to the community.

Pam received the award for her role in community outreach and building awareness for Placentia-Linda Hospital through health fairs, preventive screenings, community workshops and public relations as well as overseeing the hospital’s senior outreach program.

Pam is involved with several community organizations on behalf of the hospital including the Placentia Chamber of Commerce and Brea Chamber of Commerce and is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  She is an active member of the hospital’s Steering Committee that focuses on customer service excellence.  Pam has been at Placentia-Linda Hospital for eight years and in marketing and public relations for over 20 years.

The American Business Women’s Association was founded in 1949 by Hilary A. Bufton, Jr.  The ABWA, a non-profit network, was created for all working women, students and women in the retirement phases of their careers.  Through business skills training, ABWA helps working women gain career advancement and personal growth.
