For Your Safety & Security

At Placentia-Linda Hospital, we are committed to helping individuals obtain or return to health and wellness by providing the safest treatment, environment and services possible.

Physicians, staff, patients and families may call the Nursing Supervisor at 714-524-4812 with any patient safety concerns.  Your safety is very important to us.  We want to hear from you.

"We are a Smoke-Free Campus"
As part of our commitment to provide you and our patients at Placentia-Linda Hospital with a healthy environment, Placentia-Linda Hospital is a “Smoke-Free Campus.”

  • Our smoke-free campus policy prohibits the use of tobacco products anywhere on Hospital owned property, including parking lots, entrances and courtyards.  This includes all employees, patients, families and visitors.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Although this ban may be challenging for some, as your partner in health, we feel this initiative is in the best interest of the health of our community.  It protects our patients, visitors, employees and physicians from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke and promotes a healthy lifestyle.

We hope you will respect these guidelines and help us in our efforts.

Again, thank you for your cooperation.

Visitor Policy
Children under the age of 18 and pregnant women are restricted from visiting patient and hospital areas.

Cell Phone Usage
Please refrain from using your cellular phone within the in-patient areas as they may interfere with medical equipment.  Signage throughout the hospital indicates where cellular phones may be used.

Adaptive Equipment
We will provide you with hospital equipment as needed.  We know your dentures, eyeglasses and hearing aids are an important part of your life and these items require special care.  Please let one of your team members know that you use these.  Be careful not to leave any of these items on your meal tray or lying in your bed as they could accidentally get lost or disposed of.

A Biomedical Engineer must check all electrical equipment for safety before use in the hospital.  Please show your nurse any electrical appliance (such as an electric razer) you wish to use.

Fall Prevention
It is eay to slip and fall when you feel weak or unfamiliar with the environment.  Please check with your nurse about getting in and out of bed.

Fire Drills
For your protection, the hospital conducts routine fire and emergency drills on a regular basis.  You will be asked to disregard the flashing lights, doors and ringing bells.  If a drill occurs while you are here, you and your visitors will be asked to keep the doors closed and remain in your room until the activity is completed.

Oxygen
Special safety precautions must be in effect when oxygen delivery devices are present.  Friction toys, electrical appliances, aerosol products, matches, candles, incense, smoking and all flammable products are forbidden.

Wheelchairs
Getting in and out of a wheelchair can be hazardous.  Please ask for help.
