It's not uncommon to meet a staff member who's been here 30+ years. Our healthy working environment leads to a more caring and compassionate setting. We treat our guests like family members -- treat others as you would like to be treated.
We have a "team approach" to providing you high quality care. Along with your Physician and Registered Nurse (R.N.), these are people who may be members of your healthcare team:
- Nursing Assistant -- Assists with bedside care under the direction of the R.N.
- Respiratory Therapist -- Administers respiratory treatments as prescribed by your physician to improve lung function.
- Physical Therapist -- Works with patients to improve physical strength, mobility and flexibility.
- Dietitian -- Monitors and educates patients requiring special diets.
- Case Manager -- Assists with post-acute care needs, transfers to other facilities, monitors hospital stay, and communicates patient status and continued care needs to your health plan.
- Chaplain - Assists with the spiritual needs of the patient and family.
- Other Healthcare Professionals - Provide treatment/tests ordered by your physician; personnel from the laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and/or cardiopulmonary (i.e. EKG or respiratory treatment) departments.
Other Personnel
Your room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping issue in your room, please tell your nurse and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.
Volunteers contribute many hours to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their uniforms and name badges. They may be by to visit you and to see if you need anything.
In addition, Placentia-Linda Hospital family includes many behind-the-scenes workers such as food service workers, engineers, telephone operators, secretaries, accountants and others who contribute toward your well-being while you are here.
