Bravo pH Monitoring
What is Bravo pH Monitoring?
The Bravo pH Monitoring System can record up to 48 hours of pH data and is used by your doctor to diagnose acid reflux. A pH capsule is attached to the wall of the esophagus during an outpatient procedure.
The pH capsule measures and transmits pH data to the portable receiver you carry on your belt or shoulder strap. This data, along with the information you record using the patient diary and/or symptom buttons, is analyzed by a computer. Several days after placement of the pH capsule, it detaches from the esophagus and passes through your system.
