Established in 1972, Placentia-Linda Hospital has been proud to provide quality care and excellent customer service to meet the medical needs of you and your family.

Inpatient Services
With our “I have time” attitude and high personal touch, Placentia-Linda Hospital’s culture of caring sets us apart.  Our guest rooms are being updated with new floors, furniture and flat screen TVs.  We also have private rooms, which are based upon availability.  Later this year, we will also have wireless internet access for your convenience as well as comfortable guest seating.  Each patient receives a fresh rose from our Volunteer Guild as well as delivery of the Orange County Register newspaper daily.  It’s not uncommon to be visited by the department director, staff and customer service rounders.  We want to do everything possible to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.  After all, if you have to be in the hospital, we want it to be an excellent experience.

Outpatient Services
Many of our services are available on an outpatient basis including surgery, physical therapy, laboratory testing, imaging services.  Our outpatient surgery staff is known for their caring attitude and making you as comfortable as possible.  Providing you with warm, heated blankets and excellent service is part of our standard practice.

24-Hour Emergency Room
Placentia-Linda Hospital’s Emergency Department provides a setting where prompt medical attention and a caring environment are standard.  Our Emergency Department is always open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is ready to serve you!  Let our professional staff of board certified emergency physicians and specially trained emergency medicine nurses help you through medical emergencies you or your family may encounter.

G.I. Center
With our advanced technology including Bravo Manometry pH testing, capsule endoscopy and PillCam ESO, we can help diagnose diseases and conditions of the G.I. tract.  Plus, our friendly and professional staff treats you with the kindness and respect you deserve!  In fact, our staff goes out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible.  Our comfortable waiting area allows you and your family members to relax before and after a procedure. 

Imaging Services
Our Radiology Department is dedicated to making your experience at our hospital as comfortable as we possibly can.  Our staff is also dedicated to assisting you through the exam and treatment process with as little discomfort as possible.  We are aware that the diagnostic tests ordering by your physician are a vital part of your diagnosis and subsequent treatment.  We are proud to offer you advanced diagnostic tools including 3-D, 16-Slice CT Scans, X-Rays, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammograms and MRI. 

Surgery Services
At Placentia-Linda Hospital, we offer many surgical services – both inpatient and outpatient, including minimally invasive surgeries.  Our highly skilled staff of the Surgical Department is prepared to make you as comfortable as possible during your procedure and provide you with high quality care.  In early 2008, we will be opening a Surgical Pavilion with a 5-star hotel-like environment and amenities.  We will feature a new G.I. Center and a fifth operating suite as well.

Orthopedic/Joint Replacement Services
Whether you suffer from arthritis or have injured yourself playing sports, orthopedic problems can limit an active lifestyle.  We offer a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic patients.  From our culture at Placentia-Linda Hospital, our personnel, to our specialized programs which are focused on improving patient outcomes and treatment success, you can count on us!  Our orthopedic specialties include joint replacement services, shoulders/rotator cuffs, sports medicine (injuries and accidents), foot and ankle reconstruction, work-related injuries, spine injuries, hand surgeries and back disorders.

Physical Therapy
Our physical therapy programs are tailored to your individual needs.  Our team of highly skilled and experienced physical therapists are dedicated to promoting and restoring functional ability.   We provide an assessment, education and a customized therapeutic program including exercises to help you gain strength, increase range-of-motion and managing pain.  Our Physical Therapy services are also available on an outpatient rehabilitation basis.  For your convenience and ease of access, parking is close to our PT department.

We offer inpatient and outpatient respiratory and cardiology services 24 hours a day, 7 days per week to meet your needs.  Our friendly and caring staff provides physical and clinical evaluation of respiratory issues, respiratory therapeutics and diagnostic testing.   We also provide echocardiograms, EKGs, halter monitors, stress echocardiograms and stress tests.

The Laboratory and Pathology scope of service ranges from bedside testing and specimen collection to within laboratory specimen collection and testing. The services provided specimen collection, specimen processing, testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, microbiology, urinalysis, blood bank, and pathology. The Laboratory provides testing services for all patient ages including newborns to geriatrics.  The hours of operation for Inpatients are 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Outpatient Services are provided from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, Monday through Saturday.  If patients need services outside of these hours they can be provided by appointment.
